Hi Lonnie, Fii needs ALT to confirm and approve the Harvatek LED samples as soon as possible before proceeding with LED test items Let us know if you confirm and approve. Thanks Cooper |
Hi Lonnie, Attached is Everlight vs Haravtek CIE 16 chart and sample location For this DUT samples, Harvatek is more brighter than Everlight, can ALT accept it? Thanks Cooper |
Hi, Cooper I didn't see DUT sample. And, as we mentioned to Wechat, please provide data first. In addition, please add management rage in mass production of Havatek LED. Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Attached contain actual test result for CIE location and brightness Harvatek and Everlight samples are the same bin code But Harvatek feedback that Everlight PW14(RFW) has color shift to RCW(yellow point) after actual testing Regards Cooper |

Hi, Cooper Please provide below items and follow-up my comment. - To be provided item: management rage in mass production of Havatek LED. - To be follow-up items(Review result) a) Forward current: Refered from datasheet, Absolute value of IF is 5mA. > Your Excel sheet was wrong. Please correct it. > Why reference current tested 7mA in spite of 5mA Absolute value? b) Luminous Intensity: Havatek LED is too high than Everlight LED. How can you optimize in SET level? c) Life time condition > We added life time condition to mixed light and white light. What was condition of provided data? d) 5 year guarantee > As you know, SKB's led guarrantee is 5 year. Can Havatek LED meet 5 year requirement? e) Test items > Please refer to attached document and implement test. Best regards Lonnie Kim |

Hi Lonnie, Please check our comments as below: Please provide below items and follow-up my comment. - To be provided item: management rage in mass production of Havatek LED. [Fii]: All LEDs shipped will be tested and confirm to be locate in 16th grid of the CIE chart. If all LEDs are meet specifications, they will be shipped. - To be follow-up items(Review result) a) Forward current: Refered from datasheet, Absolute value of IF is 5mA. > Your Excel sheet was wrong. Please correct it. [Fii]: Confirmed by Harvatek, Forward current be correct to 20mA not 5mA, Harvatek also update datasheet as attached. > Why reference current tested 7mA in spite of 5mA Absolute value? [Fii]: Harvatek update datasheet page 9 forward currnet to 20mA, and base on R/G/B: 7/7/5 mA condition. b) Luminous Intensity: Havatek LED is too high than Everlight LED. How can you optimize in SET level? [Fii]: If request Harvatek re-select darker chip, they reply that can't confirm the new sample where the CIE chart will be located, and also re-write datasheet content and shift 16-chart location(it will deviate with Everlight). It will take another month to provide samples. Base on schedule for introduce LED, in order to catch up sample build on 11/16, ALT/SKB need approve it before 11/9 to Fii. Otherwise, there is a risk that the LED will be used up and unable to be shipped. Therefore, Fii may not have enough time for Harvatek to try [Fii]: In my opinion, supplier needs to spend a lot of time and effort and may not be able to obtain LED with 100% the same characteristics as Everlight. Since there is only one LED used in Eagle box, Fii recommended to use a brighter but the same color LED. We hope ALT can understand the current situation. c) Life time condition > We added life time condition to mixed light and white light. What was condition of provided data? [Fii]: Test conditions: 25C, 5mA 1000hr, same as Everlight。 d) 5 year guarantee > As you know, SKB's led guarrantee is 5 year. Can Havatek LED meet 5 year requirement? [Fii]: Fii want to ask what guarrantee you request? 5 year without damage? (We don't think this is guaranteed) Life prediction shows guaranteed is> 5 years/50% luminous intensity which base on test conditions: 25C, 5mA, 1000hr, but it still change depending on actual environment of the product. e) Test items > Please refer to attached document and implement test. [Fii]: Attached is provided by Harvatek(add drop test condition, whether ALT accept it?) Fii hopes to reach a consensus on the brightness of this sample with ALT, and get ALT's approval, it will allow Harvatek to do more follow-up testing. Please let us know if you accept it. Regards Cooper |
Hi, Cooper About "5year guarantee", this is related to RMA process. So, Havatek or FII should guarantee 5 year. ABout life time, please implement white light. Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Attached is a comparison photo after reducing the brightness, We think the brightness results are very close to Everlight. Let us know if you accept it. In addition, attached ppt is the SOP for replacing the LED current limit resistor, If ALT needs to see the actual brightness, can ALT try to replace it? Regards Cooper |
Hi, Cooper I think forward current too small. Could you check to Havatek about minimum turn on current? Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Cooper Please request IV characteristic chart to Havatek. Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Please see the attached for Harvatek's IV characteristic chart Minimum IF looks like ~0.2 or 0.3mA, there is still a lot of margin from our 2/2/2mA. Regards Cooper |
Hi, Cooper IV chart is mean relation with voltage and current. cd is mean of brightness. Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi, Cooper After review Havatek LED, below items missed on datasheet. Please add below items Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Attached pdf is minimun turn on current(0.5mA) reply mail by Harvatek, we confirm that 2mA is enough and have more margin. Then I check the datasheet for your reply on missed items, please confirm datasheet content again, it looks like many items are exist in datasheet. Besides, If the color and brightness are uncertain, the supplier can't support more test items. Please help to confirm the color and brightness first, and then we will arrange test and provide report based on this color. Let us know if you need us to ship DUT to you after changing resistors. Thank you Regards Cooper |

Hi Mr. Cooper Kung, Does your company have any measurement devices for color check ? I saw many devices that your Lab for camera test. And Foxconn is the biggest company in the world. So I think that Foxconn has various quality control and validation process. Please check with your QA to validate the color differences between old LED and new One on Eagle B'd. I think that visual check is not enough to compare colors. And one more question. Did you discuss with Harvatek about they change brightness level calibration ? If they can adjust brightness on their component, then it is the best solution that we can have. Best Regards, SuhYoung YOON |

Hi Lonnie & Yoon, Attached is Brightness and CIE location comparison between Harvatek 2/2/2mA LED and Everlight 7/7/5mA LED Summary can prove that the two are similar. Let us know if you approve this brightness and CIE location about Harvatek LED. Regards Cooper |
Hi, Cooper Please follow-up below request. 1. Latest datasheet: Your above comment(~00114429) was not matched our datasheet(Ver.1.2). Please provide latest version. 2. CIE location - Everlight: RCW - Havatek: REW -> Everlight managed RCW lot at mass production. Please change Havatek's CIE location from REW to RCW. 3. IV tolerance -> 5 samples' tolerance are 18.0 mcd(8.0%), so tolerance is bigger than Evelight. Please reduce tolerance. Best regards Lonnie Kim |
Hi Lonnie, Please confirm the following reply for your 0001823:0014525 Attached datasheet is same as 0001823:0014452 which I provided Regards Cooper |
Hi Lonnie & Yoon Please refer attached excel and datasheet(change to 2/2/2mA) for updating 0001823:0014525 Base on the same CIE bin code between Harvatek & Everlight, It is not the same as the brightness tolerance, the parameter of CIE bin code and brightness are not related. Therefore, the brightness tolerance of Harvatek is normal(as datasheet page 6) and in-spec. Attached is brightness range and tolerance between Harvatek and Everlgiht, both of are similar. We can request Harvatek to do more 3pcs samples of Everlight for test actual brightness if you need so that can match the same number 5pcs as Harvatek. Fii need ALT to approve only color and brightness first, In order to avoid shortage of materials and require harvatek to provide support for more test items. So let us know if you agree this color and brightness, or request a meeting with Miya and us for discussing. Regards Cooper |

Hi, Cooper Please follow-up below request. First of all, the Harvatek’s LED color is OK. 1. Please check Harvatek is possible to supply LEDs like Everlight’s hue area? : RNW, RQW, RBW, RRW, RCW, REW, RGW, RFW 2. Please test using harvatak LED with tunned resistor value Last 2mA/2mA/2mA samples’ Brightness are more bright than Eeverlight. Please more tune the register to similar Brightness with Everlight LED. - 5set or more, Report the LED test result. Please include it in the report “LED’s Hue code”, and “register value.” - Measure : R,G,B,W(color) brightness and color 3. Lot management at mass production: Havatek shall manage same Hue code at a lot as like Everlight. 4. As report CIE location about Harvatek REW range, 2pcs of LED looks spec out. Could you please explain more details why reported REW normal range? Thanks Jung |
Hi Sun Choul, First of all, the Harvatek’s LED color is OK => Got it, thanks. Here is our reply based on your 0014622: 1. Yes, Harvatek can supply the same 16-chart as Everlight LEDs : RNW, RQW, RBW, RRW, RCW, REW, EGW, RFW are in 16-chart, so it's ok. 2. Attached is 5pcs brightness test result from Everlight samples. The result is Harvatek only brighter than Everlight 8.48mcd, and also in-spec. Please see attahced bottom spec. Harvatek has more darker bin code R, when keep reducing the brightness, the brightness range will also decrease, so the overall brightness of Harvatek will start to be lower than Everlight. Therefore, two vendor's brightness will not match again. please be understanding. 3. Yes, Harvatek can manage same HUE code at lot as like Everlight when mass production. 4. 2pcs of Harvatek samples aren't out of spec, it just close to RCW, but also in REW(on-line). so overall of Harvatek 5pcs samples are locate on REW. Regards Cooper. |

Dear Mr. Cooper Kung, I have a question. Can you adjust resistor to reduce brightness ? We hope that both LEDs have same average brightness. Harvatek is the brighter than Everlight. The Brighter LED can issue some VOC from the Field. It can disturb user's sleep at night. If you can reduce it, then please share your modification. We will check it in our office. Best regards, SuhYoung YOON |
Hi Yoon, Attached is the explanation that Fii does not recommend changing the brightness. FYI. Or we can request Harvatek to increase the number of samples actually tested to see if we can get a more consistent average? Can this solve ALT's concern about brightness? Regards Cooper |
Attached is Harvatek 1.8/1.8/1.8mA actual brightness and location Regards Cooper |
